This slim, textured copper cuff is has the cutest, dark green, damele turquoise as it’s focal stone. I fabricated this cuff from 13ga copper sheet, hammering the surface to create texture. The fine silver bezel that surrounds this gorgeous turquoise gemstone has been fused with recycled fine silver dust creating a very unique, rustic texture. Additionally recycled argentium silver pieces were melted to create silver balls (7) that were fused to the surface of the cuff . The entire copper cuff was given a patina bath of golds and browns and finally the entire cuff was finished with a light coat of wax.

The Damele mine is a small mine located a short distance Northeast of Austin, Nevada. It produces a very small amount of turquoise and variscite and most material found today was rough mined long ago. The Damele mine produces a wide range of colorful material in yellows, golds, greens and blue-grays. The spider-webbing is often very fine and tight. Damele turquoise is very sought after and can be extremely pricey.

Please avoid moisturizers and or perfume on the area of your wrist where your bracelet will be worn, as it may react with the copper and leave dark marks on your wrist. Also, some people have skin reactions to copper and it could leave dark marks on their skin. Either way, the dark marks can be washed off easily with a little soap and water.

Wearing copper bracelets for health benefits has a long history, all the way back to ancient Egypt. Other than being very grounding, copper is also said to be beneficial for those who have arthritis/inflammation, joint pain, and joint stiffness.
