Royal Blue Turquoise Sterling Silver Step Pendant
Royal Blue Turquoise Sterling Silver Step Pendant
This handcrafted, Native American inspired pendant design features a stunning Royal Blue Turquoise gemstone. This amazing pendant was fabricated from sterling silver and textured by fusing recycled sterling silver dust on the front and back side. The fine silver bezel and the bail were also given the same texture. Additionally the hammered sterling silver extension chain, clasp and the cork cord end caps have all been hand fabricated. And finally, all of the handcrafted sterling silver components, in addition to the pendant were given a patina bath, followed by a light polish to bring out the texture highlights for that rusticated finish I love.
This Royal Blue Turquoise sterling silver pendant is displayed on black cork cord. The cork cord is an awesome substitute for leather cord. It looks and feels so much like the leather cord I have used in the past, but without the inhumane treatment of animals that is associated with leather products.
Necklace Length: 17 1/2 - 19 3/4”
Pendant Size: 2” L (including the bail) x 1 1/2” at its widest
The Royal Blue mine, located in the Royston mining district of central Nevada, was discovered in 1902. It has been worked intermittently since that time. The greatest production occurred between 1910 and 1940 when it was the major producer of turquoise in the United States. This mine has produced more gem grade clear blue turquoise than any other mine in Nevada. The turquoise ranges in color from dark sky blue to a pale light blue. The Royal Blue claims produced some of the most beautiful turquoise to ever hit the market. Read my blog post #turquoiseoverdiamonds for more information on some of the different turquoise mines and caring for your turquoise jewelry.
