This Turquoise necklace is designed around a beautiful, teal blue Morenci Turquoise gemstone. This Morenci Turquoise stone is permeated throughout with pyrite crystals, giving the gemstone a unique sparkle that is amazing!

This handmade turquoise necklace was fabricated from sterling silver, and fine silver surrounds this amazing teal blue Morenci Turquoise gemstone. I designed this handmade turquoise necklace for those who prefer a more modern, simple necklace design. Real turquoise jewelry, and in this case a real turquoise necklace that is handmade by an artisan, would be a great heirloom piece you can pass down for generations.

This handcrafted sterling silver pendant was given a hammered texture, as well as the sterling silver extension chain and clasp. The entire handmade pendant was finished in a matte satin finish.

Morenci turquoise is mined in Greenlee County, Arizona, being named after the Morenci copper mine. It was one of the earliest American turquoises to be available on the modern market. Morenci turquoise often contains iron pyrite, also known as "fool's gold". When polished, the pyrite can look like silver and the sparkle is amazing. Morenci turquoise gemstone would make a unique turquoise engagement ring or ANY turquoise jewelry design.
