I just love the color striations of this polychrome jasper … it’s such a beauty. This handcrafted polychrome jasper pendant is set in fine silver and surrounded by sterling silver beading, which I love when paired with feminine stones such as this.

This polychrome jasper necklace has been given a hammered texture on the backside of the setting, as well as the fine silver bezel surrounding the stone. The entire pendant and chain have been given a matte, satin finish that shines to perfection. The handcrafted bolo mechanism on the backside of the pendant is designed as a tension clasp, and the pendant slides up and down the sterling silver foxtail chain like a zipper.

I really enjoyed designing a more feminine version of the traditional bolo. This handmade lady bolo has a much softer appearance, with it’s more feminine stone and sterling silver fox chain.

Polychrome Jasper, also known as Desert Jasper, is a variety of Jasper recently discovered in Madagascar. Polychrome Jasper only forms in huge masses and got it's original name (Desert Jasper) from its distinct shades of brown, red, and tan. These bold colors are caused from inclusions by the metal known as Iron.
