This is a gorgeous matched pair of Number 8 turquoise.  I fabricated these turquoise earrings from copper and fine silver, and I textured the copper surface with an organic etching on the front and back side.  Additionally, I fused recycled sterling silver dust to the fine silver bezel that surrounds each gemstone.  The ear wires were designed using argentium silver, a type of silver that is highly tarnish resistant.  The ear wires were also given a hammered texture and a slightly polished patina.  Each earring was given a light wax finish to protect the patina.

These handcrafted turquoise copper earrings are approximately 1 5/8" in length (not including the ear wires) and approximately 5/8" at their widest point.

There is a distinct vibration when working with turquoise that resonates within the throat and third eye chakras.  Turquoise can balance and align all the chakras, stabilizing mood swings and instilling inner calm. Turquoise is worn as a December birthstone and is an 11th anniversary gemstone.
